Day 2: Discovering True Blessedness While Facing Life’s Bondage

It is possible to be in a difficult season and still recognize that you are deeply blessed. Happiness that comes from material things is only temporary and will eventually fade or break. However, the joy that comes from the Lord transcends your physical surroundings and your bank account. Like Paul in his bonds, you can possess a mental attitude that refuses to throw a pity party. When you focus on what God has done rather than what you lack, your soul can find true contentment.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. (Philippians 4:11 KJV)
