Day 4: Compassion for the Unqualified Crowd
Jesus healed and fed people who hadn’t earned it—some came for spectacle, others by accident. His compassion wasn’t a reward for good behavior but a response to human need. God’s blessings don’t require cleaned-up resumes. Grace meets us in our mess, not after we fix it.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8, KJV)
Reflection: Where do you feel unqualified to receive God’s blessing? How does His compassion for the imperfect crowd challenge your self-imposed conditions?
