Day 2: “Do You Believe I Am Able?”
Day 2: “Do You Believe I Am Able?”
Jesus pauses mid-miracle to ask a question that pierces performative faith. His challenge isn’t about His capability but their confidence in His authority to rewrite their story. Faith here is a “yes” that bypasses explanations and clings to His character. The blind men’s reply wasn’t theological—it was raw trust in the One who held their healing in His hands. This moment strips faith to its core: not eloquence, but surrender.
They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened. (Matthew 9:28-30, KJV)
Reflection: What area of your life feels like a “closed door” where Jesus is asking, “Do you believe I can open this?” How would your prayers change if you answered “Yea, Lord” today?
