Day 5: Mercy: The Soil Where Faith Grows

The blind men’s first cry wasn’t for sight—it was for mercy. They knew healing was a byproduct of God’s compassion, not their worthiness. Faith flourishes when rooted in humility, acknowledging our need before demanding solutions. Mercy precedes miracles, softening hardened hearts to receive. Their healing began the moment they admitted, “We don’t deserve this, but You’re good.”

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. (Psalm 103:10-11, KJV)

Reflection: Where have you sought God’s solutions more than His mercy? How might approaching Him with “Have mercy” shift your perspective on your deepest need?
