Day 5: Leftover Baskets in the Imperfect Tense

The Greek verb tense reveals Jesus kept giving food—continuously, relentlessly. His provision wasn’t a one-time event but an ongoing rhythm. The disciples kept returning to Him, baskets in hand, learning that scarcity bows to His “keep on.” Miracles begin where our endurance ends.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
(Matthew 14:20, KJV)

Reflection: What area of your life needs a “keep on” miracle instead of a quick fix? How can you practice returning to Jesus with empty baskets daily?
