Day 4: Milk Cartons and Love That Never Sours

Day 4: Milk Cartons and Love That Never Sours

Earthly things expire—milk curdles, flowers wilt, human affection falters. But God’s love has no “best by” date. His agape outlasts rejection, indifference, even rebellion. Unlike Valentine’s gestures, this love needs no upkeep, demands no performance. It simply is: steady, patient, a forever-invitation to come as you are.

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (Jeremiah 31:3, KJV)

Reflection: Where have you tasted love that felt conditional? How might resting in God’s “no expiration” love change how you love others?
